The ticks you find on your dog or cat could have come from many places, including your backyard. Ticks may be brought into your yard by many other animals like feral cats, white-tailed deer, raccoons, opossums, wild turkey and coyotes. Your pet can also pick up ticks from a number of other places including wooded areas, trails, under shrubs, and areas with tall grass.
Ticks can transmit serious diseases including Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, canine anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, babeiosis and canine hepatozoonosis. And some species of ticks are more numerous, and found in more geographic areas than before.
We offer several different products for your flea and tick control, so please call the office to discuss your options.
